Setting up the Checkout pickup point list

Unlike the map-based solutions, the Checkout list shows the customer the nearest pickup points based on the address they entered, directly on the Shopify checkout interface.

Requirement: at least a GROW subscription is required in the PickupBird by Digiloop app, along with Shopify's Carrier-Calculated Shipping (CCS) feature enabled in your store. If CCS isn't enabled yet, first read the Enabling Carrier-Calculated Shipping (CCS) article — then come back here.

Activating the Checkout list

  1. In the Shopify admin, open the PickupBird by Digiloop app and go to the Integration and Design menu.

  2. Select the Checkout list integration option by clicking Settings.

  3. In the Pickup points on Checkout section, specify how many pickup points/parcel lockers you want to display at once in the checkout.

  4. Display pickup point ID lets you add the corresponding ID to the pickup point names. Once activated, this appears to customers during checkout, as well as in the order details in the Shopify admin.

  5. Save by clicking Activate.

Setting up app extensions

You've already activated the integration in the PickupBird by Digiloop app, but for it to display correctly in your store, you also need to configure the Shopify extensions.

Use the Selected pickup point on Thank you page and Selected pickup point on Order Status page settings to place the block showing the selected pickup point on the relevant page.

  1. Click Checkout settings on the Selected pickup point on Thank you page element, which opens the Thank you page editor.

  2. Find the Selected pickup point display element under the PickupBird by Digiloop block, and add it to the Thank You page using the + icon.

  3. Use the Sections icon in the top right to open the page structure in the editor.

  4. Simply move the Package Point Thank you Page Map element to the location where you want it displayed.

  5. Save the settings by clicking Save.

  6. Close the page to return to the PickupBird by Digiloop app.

  7. Click the Refresh link so the app can verify that the settings are correct.

    • Status: On - you have already activated the extension

    • Status: Off - you haven't activated the extension yet

  8. Repeat the steps for the extension belonging to the Order Status page.
