When a customer opens the interactive pickup point map, the PickupBird by Digiloop app needs a starting point to center the map on. We use the following logic:
Your store's business address.
By default, PickupBird by Digiloop uses the city from the business address configured in Shopify. If this field is empty, it uses the capital of the store's registered country instead.
The customer's own location.
When the map opens, we ask the customer for permission to access their location. If their browser prompts for location sharing and the customer allows it, the map switches to the customer's actual location and shows the pickup points near them.
