Restricting Pickup Points by Cart Weight

You can also restrict a provider's pickup points based on the total cart weight, using the product weight field set in Shopify.

Please note that this option is only available when using Interactive Map mode.

How It Works

  1. Open the Shipping providers menu, select the provider you want to set a restriction for.

  2. Then go to the Rules tab.

  3. In the Weight-based pickup point rule section, click + Add new rule.

  4. Set the weight limit, and choose how the system should apply the specified weight value (e.g. above or below it).

  5. Click Save.

Example

Suppose you want this provider's pickup points to be available only for carts under 18,000 g (18 kg). You set up a rule that excludes pickup point delivery if the total cart weight exceeds 18 kg.

If a customer's cart weighs more than 5 kg and they still try to select this provider's pickup point, they will get a warning that lets them decide whether to remove the product from their cart or choose a different shipping method.

Customizing the Warning Message

If your customer selects a product that the shipping provider chosen on the cart page cannot deliver based on the rules above, a warning message will appear on the cart as soon as they mark which (unsupported) point they want the order sent to.

You are free to customize the text of the warning message shown to customers. To do this, go to the Integration and Design menu, open the Interactive Map mode settings, select the Translations tab, and edit the relevant text.
